Environment

Society is not only defined by what it creates and by what it refuses to destroy.   Our desire is to protect the global environment that we live in during this and succeeding generations?  Every person on Earth deserves a healthy environment and the benefits that nature provides. Unfortunately, these resources are being destroyed at a rapid rate.  These threats are serious.  It is only by protecting nature and its gifts can we ensure a better life for everyone, everywhere. We need to protect ecologically important land and water, to encourage innovation, as well as adhere to existing regulations.

Reproductive Rights

Reproductive health care is a basic human right.   It is our conviction that a woman’s ability to control childbearing is vital to her well-being, her opportunities throughout life, the health of her family and the success of her community.

To help, we support organizations that work with local communities and villages, ensuring that women and men have access to family planning and reproductive health services.

Girls and women must be empowered throughout their lives to take charge of their sexual and reproductive health.  As they do, a woman’s life expectancy improves, her health improves, which in turn creates opportunities for education and work so she can help lift her family out of poverty. Furthermore, when women participate in the economy and civic life, it creates a powerful ripple effect, improving the prosperity and political stability of communities and nations.

Education

We cannot afford to undervalue the importance of education.   We can move mountains if we are united and we can challenge what the future holds.

An education has always been important and now it is more valuable than ever.  As we move into the 21st century, the economic rewards of an education at all levels are fundamental to individuals and society in general.

Education is defined as acquiring skills.  School is not the only place or setting in which we can learn or get an education.  In some parts of the world, it means being able to read and write.  In others, it may be attending a trade school.  While there are many ways to define an education, most people agree that the more education a person achieves, the higher their wages, and the more stable the economy of that area or country.
